In Space Norway’s core lies a commitment to deploying advanced satellites solutions that meet evolving security needs for Norway and our allies. We produce capabilities in areas such as Arctic broadband, Space Domain Awareness, persistent real-time Maritime Domain Awareness, reliable connectivity and trustworthy Positioning Navigation and Time (PNT).

We manage and develop space capabilities underpinning the Norwegian government’s strategy in areas such as

Space Norway’s satellite communication services support both military and civil operations, from routine communications to critical missions. We provide seamless communication for Arctic maritime navigation, support for remote North Sea oil exploration and production, and connectivity for emergency response teams during crises.

We support scientific research and environmental monitoring by providing reliable data transmission for research stations and monitoring systems across Norway and its territories.

Space Norway, a 100% state owned satellite operator with decades of experience in critical space infrastructure.

We provide:

Secure, resilient architecture suitable for sensitive and classified missions
A trusted platform for allied cooperation and data sharing frameworks

We operate on commercial terms without receiving subsidies or operational funds from the state budget. The Norwegian government’s objective as an owner is to secure the highest possible return over time within sustainable frameworks.
