What we do

Connectivity Services: Recognising the critical importance of uninterrupted connectivity, we provide essential satellite services that guarantee seamless communication across regions in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Arctic, and Antarctica.

Infrastructure Management: We own and operate satellites, subsea fibreoptic cable systems, teleports, and terrestrial fibre networks to deliver data communication and broadcasting services to governments, public and commercial clients.

Research and Development: Innovation is at our core. We invest in research and development to push the boundaries of technology and applications, working closely with scientific communities and industry partners.

Strategic infrastructure for a secure tomorrow

In today’s world, space-based infrastructure is not only strategic but also essential for enforcing sovereignty and delivering vital services. As a state-owned enterprise, Space Norway develops and operates security-critical space infrastructure, safeguarding essential national functions.

We proudly collaborate with the Norwegian Armed Forces, the Norwegian Space Agency, the Norwegian Coastal Administration, and the U.S. Space Force, among others.

Our assets include advanced satellite technology and ground infrastructure in areas where the Norwegian Government requires control and supervision. Additionally, we operate the crucial subsea fibreoptic cable system from the mainland to the Svalbard archipelago. This connection has spurred significant space-related business development for Space Norway and brought numerous benefits to the Svalbard community.
