THOR 7

Launched in 2015, THOR 7 is a combined broadcasting and data services High Throughput Satellite.

This satellite provides high-powered connectivity for the maritime and land-based industries with an excellent elevation angle over Europe, North Atlantic, the Middle East, and North Africa. It’s steerable spot beam is particularly beneficial to the maritime mobility sector.

The satellite also delivers premium broadcasting to video neighbourhoods in the Nordics and Central and Eastern Europe.

The satellite was manufactured by Maxar Technologies.
