Bjørn Erik Reinseth was elected Chair of Space Norway AS at an extraordinary general meeting on 25 September.
Reinseth is Chief Executive Officer of Forskningsparken – Oslo Science Park. He has extensive leadership experience from the telecommunications, investment, technology commercialisation and innovation sectors, as well as broad board experience.
He has previously held senior roles at NetCom, Sense Communications, Ferd and Foinco. Reinseth holds an engineering degree from the University of Surrey and has also completed executive education in management and strategy at Stanford University.
“There is growing interest in the High North, where Space Norway is an important player. I look forward to contributing to the company’s development at an exciting time,” said Bjørn Erik Reinseth.
Reinseth succeeds Svein Olav Munkeby, who is stepping down after five years as Chair of Space Norway.

Through the delivery of Norway’s largest space project, ASBM – which has secured full broadband coverage in the High North – and the acquisition of Telenor’s satellite operations, Space Norway has developed from a small innovation company into a leading satellite operator in Northern Europe and a significant player in the international space industry.
