Norwegian Transparency Act
Space Norway is governed by the Norwegian Transparency Act, which came into effect in July 2022.
This legislation mandates that companies must:
- Conduct human rights due diligence within their own operations and throughout their value chain.
- Publicly report on their due diligence processes, including the procedures followed and any identified risks.
- Provide information upon request from the general public concerning how the company is managing actual or potential human rights impacts within its organisation and supply chain.
The law requires companies to respond to requests from the general public on how the company is managing actual or potential human rights impacts in its organization and supply chain. Space Norway is covered by this law.
Space Norway carries out due diligence assessments in accordance with OECD’s guidelines for multinational companies. Due diligence assessments are made in connection with direct and indirect purchases. The assessments are carried out in line with the company’s established routine, which ensures that the company meets the requirements to conduct and account for due diligence assessments, and that we fulfill the information obligation in the Transparency Act.
